Fascinated by the Secret

Its a great book. I am totally fascinated by the concept. 

It talks about the power of believing and positive intention.  

The concept is simple yet believable. 

It re enforces the belief that you are responsible for what you receive 

You have the power to change your life !

I have tried it out. 

For simple things like - getting a parking space, receiving small favors / gifts etc.

My understanding is that the concept differs from the essence of 

Hinduism -

which states

a) You will receive what's best for you. (Destiny)

b) God (higher being) knows what you want, you don't need to seek 

the physical things.

c) Be aligned with God in the spiritual (higher) plane. 

(Ask the question - who am i, what is the purpose of my 

existence)

I have suggested this book to a couple of my friends. These were 

people who shared their frustration on the 'uncertainty' they were 

experiencing in their life space. 

Some of these folks had either heard about the book or read it 

partially Interestingly : 

Once they were triggered to read it, 

things began to work out for them.

Recent experience with the Secret :

Today when i was dropping my son to school, one of his class mates refused to enter 

the school, 

wanting her favorite teacher to be with her in school.  

Normally she comes in much later in the day, 

but the girl refused to enter the school. 

The mother was getting very flustered and suddenly the teacher 

came in her car... 

out of the blue. 

She wanted the teacher and she got what she desired.!!!

A friend's brother got married with 4 days. It was totally un planned, 

but everything fell into place perfectly

What the book does for me 

a) Keeps me on a positive frame. 

b) Makes me think of the good things in life

c) Be grateful for what i have
