Kids & Holidays

"Be an explorer. The universe is filled with wonder and magical things." ~ Flavia

One of the strongest association with the word summer is vacation.
It is that time of the year again....
Many of us are either ready to go on a memorable holiday or have just came back from one

Here are some things my kids enjoyed most in their recent holidays

Anything with animals / birds
There is a sense of wonder and amazement with kids see / interact with  animals / birds. What is amusing about my kids is their equal opportunity approach to both jungle safaries and the local zoo.

Trying out something new
Anything new- be it block printing, pottery or spinning the charka creates stickiness in the vacation. What stands out are experiences that are dramatically different from their regular life back in the city.

A sense of adventure

Nothing like an occasional adrenaline rush. What tops it for my kids is to finish what was begun. These adventures bring forth special stories that are can shared with their friends. Stories about leaches, the difficult paths and the distance they walked.

A moment of stillness

The most important part of a holiday is always those special moments of stillness. Watching that beautiful sunset or simply sitting on the swing.
