Savouring

My last blog was about what I am upto in life

Savouring according to positive pyschology is about anticipation of life giving force or something positives in life.

This process done consciously  generates a sense of well being and energy within us and is highly recommended

Presenting my list of 10 (in random order)  from now until end of 2015.

  1. Sons field trip - his first stay away from home. His big chance of becoming independent.
  2. Daughter in a big school - She has been a pre schooler for ever and now time to grow up (June 2015)
  3. Work - Open programs, personal growth interventions & life coaching. May the tribe of people I can reach out to increase.
  4. Spending time with better half - His new role and travel has made our life together a challenge. Every opportunity to be together is what I am looking forward too
  5. Health & Wellbeing - I am waiting for the day when working out and mindful living comes naturally. Long way to go here
  6. Keeping my cool - I have a very volatile mood especially at home. I hope in 2015 i am able to find a better way to express my emotions - being sensitive to myself and others at home.
  7. Holidays - The highlight of 2014 were the family holidays. These were well planned and extremely nice executed. I hope 2015 is even more joyful.
  8. Expanding horizons - I attended brilliant plays, story sessions, book launches & concerts in 2014. Hope there is a lot more in 2015. With the kids growing up this is something we can all do together & enjoy new experiences.
  9. Finding time for friends - This is something i am going to do much more off.
  10. Learning - Many formal & non formal learning opportunities in this year. I hope this continues.
So what is your list for 2015....

What am I upto...

A few of my friends shared that they have not seen any updates on my personal blog. So for their sake and others - here are three things I enjoyed in the past few months !

1. Dressing up : Growing up, I did not feel attractive and beautiful. It has taken a lot of personal work and self acceptance to truly like myself from within.

This year for Diwali I spontaneously decided to dress up traditional. This saree was a hand me down from my grandmother who I have feel a deep connection with. Presenting our elegantly dressed family picture.

2. Holiday @ Goa : Goa has been a favourite holiday destination. In the past we visited this beautiful place in short spurts and only lived in resorts. This time around we drove from Bangalore and rented an apartment. Both these decisions, made the experience very unique. The kids had a blast. I finally found time to write a long pending paper.

3. Personal Growth workshops : I have been offering a three stage personal growth intervention to women professionals for a large MNC. These workshops has been a rich source of learning deepening my understanding of my self, my strengths and passion. In return I have received tremendous love and trust from the participants. These programs could not have been possible without the support from my family and I am filled with gratitude.

In all - I am in a place of conscious happiness and gratitude !
