Moments...

These small moments can make a life time isn't it

The other day, I went to a recently opened retail store near my house in Bangalore.
The store is fancy but the people employed are really seeing a lot of new items for the first time.
I bought some dried fruits. While billing the young girl was shocked at the price of one of the items...
She asked me : is this really so expense ?
I said : yes
she asked me : what is it ?
I said : Blue berry
She asked me : what is that ?
I tried to explain to her in kannada (native language)
After I billed, i opened the packet in front of her and offered her a couple of pieces
She tentatively took it and slowly bit into it
She looked at me thanking me for this new experience !

Now that we have been clueless in Sydney. Especially me who is spatially challenged.
While waiting for the bus in Sydney, I asked
a stranger with a back pack the best way to get to the Aquarium.
I showed him the route as determined by google map.
He gave me clear directions. Which i wrote down on a piece of paper.
After we all got into the bus, just as he was leaving he mumbled something.
I heard him say  "joy". I presumed it was his name and told him mine.
My 8 year old son burst out into uncontrollable laughter.
Holding his stomach, he told me the guy had said "enjoy" which i heard as "joy".
It was a funny moment indeed

Yesterday while on the bus in Sydney.

As usual the destination was unclear. I asked the lady sitting next to me about where I could get some childrens clothes.
She got really interested in us.
She talked about being from South America.
She was curious that my kids spoke English.
While sharing the kids store option with me, we seemed to humanly connect. All this warmth while we were sitting in a cold bus with sheets of rain outside.

She even offered my kids a candy each. A special moment !

Hope to share more
Ciao for now !
