Birthdays

Recently my kids celebrated their 5th and 8th birthday.
In the past few years, i would dread the birthday month.
Planning for the venue, invitees, games, food, return gifts and decoration was exhausting.
Often the parents who accompanied the kids were unknown and remained isolated.

This year we laid out the intention to enjoy their important day.
We wanted to spend it with people (kids and adults) who were special in our life.
Fortunately my kids were easily convinced with the idea.
We made a short list (single digit) of all those who needed to be invited.
We had a birthday party at home for the kid at home and a common celebration for both the kids.

All the kids enjoyed in the children's gym followed with dinner. The kids felt important in the fancy restaurant.

They even sat separately from the adults. We picked up books personalised to each kids as return gifts.

Since we were in known company, we paid  attention to having fun.

Everything was manageable -thanks to the small scale.
There was many moments of fun and effortless conversation.

All in all something i would recommend to all parents.
After all less is more !
